After many years at the beloved Marine Room in downtown Laguna Beach, we've decided to pack our bags and hit the road south. Well, not that far south, just to our favorite local, legendary Laguna dive: The Sandpiper Lounge! Otherwise known as The Dirty Bird, this place as been a dimly lit destination for Laguna locals for decades and we couldn't be more honored to be a part of their scene. We've got some really insane shows planned for the coming months and can't wait to try 'em out at this new venue. Check the details below for our inaugural show, we'll have some free tees to give out for some of you early dirty birds. EVERY 3rd WEDNESDAY is gonna be WaxBall Wednesday.
First up we've got Cat Signs, a side project of Stonio from The Growlers. Shoegazey psych pop with a lot of hair.
Rounding off the night will be local sunbaked hodads The Bluffs.

We're absolutely amping on the upcoming Laguna Beach show. Gonna put some psych back into this small art village on the coast. Shit who are we kidding, it ain't no art village anymore, whatever, we'll do our best to bring an ethereal experience, and with these two bands on the lineup, seriously, Blaak Heat & Cult Babies..... it shouldn't be too hard.
Simple as always. no presale, just show up. Bring $8 cash to the door and ya get in. Easy peasy.
And in case you were unaware at this point... Blaak Heat will share the stage with Vancouver's Cult Babies!
The WaxBall Presents: Blaak Heat & Cult Babies - November 11, 2015

Join us at Costa Mesa's Wayfarer for a killer night of punk jams and vinyl. LA-based Girl Tears will be dropping their new 7" titled "No Faith", too so it'll be a helluva night. More info over at the Facebook event page!
This Thursday, July 30th we're presenting the live music for the Globe & Monster Energy party in Costa Mesa.
It's going on during the US Open of Surfing and celebrates the recent Dion Agius +/+ collab and the premiere of a new short surf film from the legendary Joe G . We're stoked to present live performances by Church of Sun and King Flamingo! Check out some of their tunes below and make sure to RSVP and show up on Thursday!
We're pumped to announce the second show of May this month!! It's been a long time since we've thrown a Friday gig, and this one should be a goodie. Originally from SF but now taking over the LAirwaves, The Electric Magpie is gonna grace the humble stage at Marine Room Tavern down in Laguna Beach. They'll be joined by local rippers The Bluffs and Some Days, two epic bands that wanna dance and drink with ya.
Many shakas need to be thrown at artist Jon Mann for absolutely killing it on the poster art. We're diggin' the booger sugar font!! For more info on the shows and bands, check out thee Facebook Event Page
Ya miss the last Wax Ball? We had Snakearm and Spindrift lead us into a night of psychedelic cowboy punk. Hopefully ya won’t miss the next shows, as this video does only about an ounce of justice to what a live Waxball brings to the stage. These dudes killed it, and here’s some moving footage to prove it. Shown here is Spindrift at The WaxBall on the humble Marine Room stage a few weeks ago.
We're stoked to be a part of Thief Presents' The Road To Psycho Tour! 3 Insane bands will be coming to the next Wax Ball to blow your minds. Featuring live performances by Elder, Electric Citizen & Stoned Jesus... Needless to say, this will be one for the books and most likely one of the heaviest lineups to ever grace the sandy streets of Laguna Beach. Presale tickets are strongly recommended for this one as it'll be sure to sell out by the show date. You can find the tickets to Road To Psycho Presented By Theif and The Wax Ball here!
